More About GA-935.

Air Force JROTC is a very good program. Aside from what we do during the normal school week, there are also a few after school activities that our cadets can participate in. Some of these clubs include drill team, color guard, pt team, kitty hawk, static modeling, and rocketry. The cadets have fun as well as learn and build on important qualities such as leadership, discipline, responsibility, teamwork, and more. Another big part of JROTC is the events that are scheduled throughout each year. Some events scheduled for the cadets include nursing home visits, county drill competitions, adopt-a-highway, the Florida trip, the Suwanee car show, the Suwanee-Day parade, and more. Nothing that we really do in the class room, at after school activities, or on our trips is very dangerous and we strive to maintain a respectful, healthy environment for our cadets.

Mondays & Wednesdays

On these days we tend to do book work which includes taking notes from the small textbook we use depending on what chapter we are on, as well as taking tests. None of this is hard or very time consuming, but you will learn a lot if you pay attention.

Thursdays

Thursday is uniform day. This is another day that some people either completely like, or completely dislike. Not everyone likes dressing up and looking fancy one day out of the week, which doesn't sound like much. There are standards that have to be met while in uniform which are listed on page _ of the cadet handbook which can be found as a downloadable file on the main page.

Tuesdays

On Tuedays we focus on drill. Drill is basically marching in a formation and making it look sharp. Drill isn't that challenging to learn for most people, though some like it better than others. There are annual competitions that we compete in, this is more of a choice however it is reccomended.

Fridays

Fridays are P.T. days, which stands for Physical Training. While the words physical training might sound harsh to most students, it is actually pretty basic. We go to the gym and do some push-ups, sit-ups, jumping jacks, planking, on some days we also walk, run, or jog for a few minutes. Nothing to it.
